Crecora were quick out of the blocks and made a blistering start and continued to set the pace for the entire game. A great point from almost the left hand side touchline after only 20 seconds from Edwin Wixted was a sign of things to come. John Blake then scored 2 great goals with fine assists from Shane O’Connell and Conor Kirby. Edwin scored another point before Richard Murphy who had a great game scored a lovely goal.

This left the halftime score Crecora Manister 3 – 2 Tournafulla 1 – 1.

The second half was a super battling performance as Tournafulla tried to get back into the game and a big turning point was a brilliant save from Ian de Capitini to deny them a goal. That seemed to inspire Crecora who pointed from Michael Bateman and 2 more from Edwin. Then when Shane O’Connell scored a fine goal after catching a super delivery from Evan Keogh our inspirational Captain, we knew the game would only have one outcome. Donnacha gave a man of the match performance with a diehard attitude and hunger for the game.

Team: U16 Hurling Division. 13 a side.
