Even contest with some good passing movements

Kilpeacon U14 Hurlers played Granagh Ballingarry in Fedamore in a challenge match recently. This was a very evenly contested affair with good hurling from both teams.

We started slowly and were 6 points down within first 10 minutes as Granagh Ballingarry scored a goal and 3 points. We settled into the game at that stage and two quick goals from Colin Haigney and Conor Godfrey brought us level.

The contest was very close for the remainder of the game. Colin Coughlan added points from frees and with a strong showing from Donnacha Connolly and James Conheady from midfield we led by two points with a few minutes to go. Granagh Ballingarry scored a late goal and the match ended on a score-line of 3:5 to 3:4.

This was a good challenge match and all players contributed well with some good passing movements.

Our squad on the night was: Conor Hannon, Padraig Byrnes, Barry Moore, Brendan Power, Colin Coughlan, Richard Murphy, Thomas Shanahan, Donnacha Connolly, James Conheady, Sam O’Donnell, Jack Dalton, Shane O’Connor, Conor Godfrey, Colin Haigney, Cian Enright, Ethan Hennessy, Ciaran Humphries, Fergal Egan, Chris Shanahan.
