UNDER 15 HURLERS
Monday 15th May saw Crecora Manister under 15s up against Killacolla Gaels in Ballyagran as part of our Championship campaign.
The home side were in control almost from the start and were up 1 6 to no score at half time.
The second half didn’t get much better for our lads as Killacolla tacked on another 6 points.
Crecora Manister did manage a goal to leave the final score Killacolla Gaels 1 12 Crecora-Manister 1 0.
UNDER 11 HURLERS
A tough day at the office for our U11 Hurlers on Tuesday 11th May.
We played a strong Patrickswell team that seemed to have no weaknesses for our lads to exploit.
To add to that, our lads just seemed not to play at our usual levels.
Needless to say we were well beaten.
We will be playing them again later in the season so the goal will be to become much more competitive.
INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL
In our third Intermediate league game of the season on Friday 12th May we faced senior team Galtee Gaels at home on a glorious evening.
Galtee Gaels got off to a flying start with a point scored in the first few minutes of the game, and continued scoring points for a period.
Crecora Manister responded with several points of their own.
However, Galtee Gaels upped the tempo and scored their 1st goal in response.
The pace of the match increased and Galtee Gaels being a senior team had seven points to their credit at half time which Crecora Manister made them earn through their pitch agility.
Galtee Gaels scored the first of 2 goals mid-way through the 1st half and in a period of frantic confusion in the Galtee Gaels goalmouth Jack Dalton scored a great goal just before the half time whistle, to loud applause and cheering from the Crecora Manister supporters.
In the second half, Crecora Manister scored 3 points in response to 1 goal and 8 points from Galtee Gaels.
Also in the second half, Crecora Manister scored a fantastic goal from play, well supported by his team mates.
Despite a much improved team and individual performance from Crecora Manister, Galtee Gaels had that extra edge on the day and the match ended with Galtee Gaels as winners on a score of 2-15 to Crecora Manister 2-5.
