Match Reports
Our Hurlers played their 3rd round City West Intermediate League game v Knockaderry in Crecora last Saturday evening. This was our first opportunity to play on the pitch this season and the pitch was in great condition thanks to the efforts of the hard-working grounds committee.
It was also the first opportunity to try out the new dugouts which are a welcome addition to the club facilities. This was a keenly contested game and despite a bright opening we found ourselves 4 points in arrears early in the first half due to missed chances. Oisin O’Byrne got us off the mark and a number of points from James Conheady from play and placed ball helped us to close the gap as the half progressed. It was score for score as half time approached. Cormac Flanagan and Rian O’Byrne added points to leave a Half time score of 10 points to 9 in Knockaderrys favour. Points from the O’Byrne brothers early in the second half enabled us to overturn the deficit and we continued that form through the half to keep our noses in front. Knockaderry kept up the pressure but our defence worked hard to keep chances to a minimum. Points from Edwin Wixted and Chris Shanahan helped us to maintain our advantage and we ran out winners on a scoreline of 0-21 to 0-17.

Limerick U15
Congratulations to Sam Collins and Cian Hickey who played on Saturday last against Wexford in Ballyagran. Limerick won on a scoreline of 1:12 to 2:08.
We also want to congratulate Patrick Concannon was part of the winning team with ArdScoil Rís who won the Limerick colleges Semi-Final against Scoil Mhuire on a scoreline of 1:21 to 2:14. We wish him and all the team every success in the final.

Facility Developments
Two 12 seater dugouts were installed at the GAA pitch on Saturday. Many thanks to all those who assisted with this work today, and also with the installation of the bases earlier in the year.

These dugouts are funded from the GAA and Camogie Clubs Development Fund, so please continue to support the fundraising efforts, so that we can continue to provide more facilities for all our GAA and Camogie Club players and members.

Sponsors
Crecora Manister GAA Club wishes to sincerely thank O’Connell’s Mills and PBC Builders for their continuing support of our adult hurling and football teams respectively.
We are delighted to partner with local businesses and their generous sponsorship is greatly appreciated.

Health & Wellbeing Sign
We wish to draw your attention to the new sign on the portacabin at the GAA pitch.
It was erected by the Healthy Club committee and it contains a wealth of information on available, free supports for those who are finding life a struggle.
There are also tips on how to improve one’s wellbeing and sense of purpose.
Contained on the sign is a QR code, which when scanned will provide a host of links to support services.
Please make club members and the wider community aware of this resource.

Our Intermediate footballers played in Round 2 of the City East Intermediate Football League with a hard fought win against Mungret on Saturday evening. With the sun shining for the first evening of the year, our lads showed what hard work, teamwork and the jersey meant to them by working really hard in defence and then attacking in waves to put up some fine scores and even when Mungret came back into the game in the closing minutes a fine score by Evan Moloney sealed the deal. Thomas Connolly, David Macken, Tim Moloney, Paddy Gardner, Evan Moloney(0-01),Cormac Flanagan, Cathal Monaghan(0-02),Ciaran Cusack, Patrick Dolphin(0-01),Mike McCormack, Sam Riordan, Donnacha Connolly(0-1),Colm Cassidy, Richard Murphy(1-3),Darach Scelly(0-01),Rory Hannon, Eoghan Quinn.

Our South Liberties/ Crecora Manister u17 footballers played Round 2 of the league competition on Wednesday evening at home taking on Ballylanders. With the aid of a strong wind we led 0-9 to 0-3 at half time. We had a great start to the 2nd half scoring 1-1 in first few minutes & battled hard to finish it out winning 2-11 to 2-7. Next match for this group is round 2 of hurling league next Wednesday vs Cappamore in Dooley Park with round 3 of football league the following Wednesday away to Galtee Gaels. Compliments to the field committee who had the pitch in fantastic condition for us
