JUNIOR B FOOTBALL FINAL:
Comiserations to our junior B football team who were narrowly beaten in the county final by neighbours Fedamore last Sunday November 15th. Our lads were slow to settle in the first half playing against a strong wind and we went in 1-4 to 0-1 down at half time. Crecora came out fighting in the second half and slowly but surely ate into Fedamore’s half time lead of six points. We were unlucky to hit the crossbar late on in the game when a goal would have equalised the game.
However, credit must go to our neighbours Fedamore, who were more clinical on the day and they ran out winners on a 1-7 to 0-7 scoreline.
It was unfortunate that our year had to end on a disappointing note like this but this panel have produced some great displays this year such as the City final win over Ballybrown, the County quarter final win over Ballybricken and, of course, the great comeback in the semi final versus Camogue Rovers.
Our lads will be back next year and hopefully we will be playing Junior A football in the near future.
