• Our U16s Hurlers in amalgamation with South Liberties are out for their 1^st Round against   Caherline in Caherline this Monday 30^th at 7pm
• In Round 5 of the U14 Championship the boys are away to Patrickswell on Thursday July 4^th at 7pm
• Our U12 Hurlers are away to Pallasgreen on Tuesday July 2^nd at 6:45pm and they are at home on Friday to Templeglantine at 6:45pm

Match Reports – Intermediate Football

Our Intermediate football team opened their championship campaign on Saturday evening in

Caherconlish against Pallasgreen. Crecora started brightly with the lion’s share of possession in the opening minutes and opened the scoring with a point from a free from Sam Riordan and from a

turnover on the Pallas kickout, worked the ball in to Ciaran Cusack for the opening goal of the

game. Pallasgreen were next to capitalise with some fine play to register their opening point and soon after were in on goal when they were stopped inside the large square resulting in a Black Card for Crecora and a Penalty for Pallas which was superbly saved by Shane O’Connell in the Crecora Goals.

Unfortunately, despite all their possession, Crecora lads failed to score again until the 53rd minute while Pallas put up 7 points on the bounce. A free from Conor Burke stemmed the tide followed by another free 5 mins later from Sam Riordan. Despite relentless pressure in the last couple of minutes, Pallasgreen held tough and denied Crecora a goal scoring opportunity with the full-time whistle sounding with our lads on the wrong end of a 2-point defeat – Crecora 1-03 Pallasgreen 0-08. We move on to our next game against Rathkeale next Friday evening in Ballingarry throws in at 19:30pm – all support welcome.

Pitch Development Fundraiser – Cake Sale

We held our annual Cake Sale/BBQ on Sunday 23^rd of June at Crecora Manister Pitch. It was a beautiful day and we had a great turn-out. Thank you to our sponsors Pat O’Meara Butchers, Fennessy’s Pub and Shannon Ices. All funds raised go towards the Pitch Facilities Fund.

Cold Play – Raffle

The Cold Play Raffle took place at the Cake Sale. Congratulations to Dermot Scanlon the lucky winner. Huge thanks to Richard and Helen Keays for kindly donating these tickets which resulted in a very successful underage fundraiser.

East A 13 A-Side Semi-Final

Hard luck to our Crecora Manister Boys who represented Crecora National School in the 15 a-side hurling schools’ competition on Wednesday 12^th. The boys put in a huge effort and just came up short to a good Kilmallock team in Mick Neville Park. Thank you to all involved in this team.

Pitch Development Fundraiser – Cake Sale

We will hold our annual Cake Sale on Sunday 23^rd of June at Crecora Manister Pitch at 11:30am. There will be a Barbeque and tea and cake for all. We are also having a clothes drive at the pitch next weekend where all clothes can be dropped into the home dressing room. All funds raised will go towards the Pitch Development Fund. Please join us for cake and a cuppa or a burger. Your support as always will be much appreciated.

Congratulations to Limerick 6-in-a-Row

Huge congratulations to Cathal and all the Limerick team on making history and becoming the first team to win 6 Successive Munster titles in a row. All roads now lead to Croke Park for the All-Ireland Semi-Final on July 7^th.

Crecora-Patrickswell Community Games U11 Final

Well done to our Crecora-Patrickswell Community Games U11 team who had a very good campaign but were beaten by a stronger Regional (Mungret) team in the final on Friday. We would like to thank the coaches involved for their time and efforts and the parents who provided the refreshments after the game.
