UNDER 21 HURLING
Our U21 team exited the Championship on Sunday in a keenly contested battle versus Kilteely-Dromkeen on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-11. While the players and management were disappointed with the result much hope will be taken from the campaign as we did win the U21 City Championship.
This squad are very young and 20 of the 22 man panel of this year are U21 again in 2019. All these players will move on and play Premier Minor and Junior A with the Club this year.
We would like to thank the management and players for their outstanding work since early January.

UNDER 15 HURLING
Kilpeacon 3-02 versus Kilmallock 1-07 28th March 2018 – Ballybricken
This was the first competitive match of the 2018 season for Kilpeacon GAA Under 15 team, comprised of players from Crecora Manister , Ballybricken Bohermore and Fedamore. We had a well-balanced team on the field for this game and the first half was a very tight affair with both teams going at it with gusto .
Both teams were guilty of some missed opportunities and by the end of the half there were 3 points between the teams with all to play for. Some great defence and saves from Jamie Keogh in goals kept Kilpeacon in touch. At half time some players were moved around a bit position wise on the field and this was a gamble that paid off with a great free dropped into the square from Ruairi Cahill, caught by Sam Riordan who turned and drilled to the back of the net. Kilmallock came back into the game and their number 11 was making great ground through the middle which paid off for them with a goal of their own.
With 5 mins to go and 5 points down things were not looking great but our half backs , midfield and half forwards really dug in and two late goals again from Sam sealed the narrowest of wins. Some great displays throughout the team with Ruairi Cahill weighing in with a point of his own and captain on the night, Jamie Keogh, pulling off some fine saves, this was definitely a team performance.
Thanks to the U14’s and u13’s who came along and contributed to this display with all getting game time.
Team on the night Jamie Keogh; Deimhne Hickey, Conor Hannon, Jamie Slater; Lee Gavin, James Martin, Michael Clifford; , John O’Donnell, Aaron Hickey; Ruairi Cahill (0:01), Sam Riordan (3:01), Rian O’Byrne; Evan Ryan, Robbie Slater, Shane Heffernan; Kieran Wall, Darragh Walsh, Niall Martin.
Our Under 15 will play Ballybrown on Wednesday 4th April in Ballybricken at 6.30pm.
