JUNIORS:
Our Junior B Footballers got their City Championship campaign underway with a 1 – 11 to 0 – 10 win over Ballinacurra Gaels last Wednesday night. Unfortunately the news wasn’t as good for our Junior A Hurlers who were beaten 2 – 10 to 0 – 13 by Ballybrown in Kildimo on Saturday night thus effectively ending our interest in this years championship.
This was a great battling performance by our lads and a few breaks just didn’t go our way.

MINOR FOOTBALLERS:
Our Minor Footballers made the trip to Glenroe last Thursday to play Ballylanders in the third round of the 13 a side football championship minus several key players. Unfortunately, we suffered a debatable black card decision against us in the first 15 minutes and as we had no subs, we were reduced to twelve players. Our lads fought hard to the bitter end as we were eventually overrun by the thirteen men of Ballylanders by a score of 7 – 9 to 2 – 13.
Team: Evan Keogh; Páraic O’Neill, Tomás Connolly; Micheál Fitzgerald, Cian Leahy, Donnacha Connolly; Damien Kearney, Michael Bateman; Paul Collins, Barry Fitzgibbon, Jake Loughran; Shane O’Connell, Thomas Roche.
UNDER 16 HURLERS:
Tonight , our U16 hurlers will be playing a home game V’s Granagh Ballingarry with a throw in time of 19:15pm .
Again it would be great to have some home support tonight.
UNDER 14 HURLERS:
Kilpeacon U14 Hurling , playing in division 1 and sitting in second position on the table with 3 games remaining will be playing table toppers , County feile Champions and our near neighbours Mungret this coming Wednesday evening.
Having already shown that they are a match for any team in this division and with some great performances and results recently V’s NAP , Adare & Ahane , this game will surely test these guys but also promises to be a very keenly contested match where passions will rise high throughout the game.
The match throws in at 8pm in Mungret and it would be great to get a big support from the Crecora Manister and Fedamore GAA clubs out to support this Kilpeacon team.
Remember these players could be the backbone of our Senior  Club team in 5-6 years time and I know all these players aspire to playing senior Club championship in the future so we need to get behind these guys.
Hope to see as many of you as possible on Wednesday evening , if you can wear your Green and gold colours and lets make some noise in Mungret for these players.
UNDER 14 FOOTBALLERS:
Last Wednesday, our under 14s continued their good run with 8 – 9 to 2 – 4 win over Deel Rangers.
Next Wednesday, our U14 Football team will travel to Askeaton for their last game of the championship and following some fine displays throughout the season they are very close to another county semi final. This game will be a repeat of the feile county semi final where Kilpeacon prevailed by a single score so this promises to again be a highly entertaining and close fought game. Throw in time of 19:15pm.
UNDER 12 HURLERS:
Our U12 Hurlers played in the Gaelic grounds on Saturday and came up against some very strong teams however they accounted very well for themselves , winning their first match V Cratloe and narrowly losing out in their other 2 games . They then got a tour of the home dressing rooms and had a Q&A session with Paudie O Brien , County player from Kilmallock . Well done to all players and coaches.
MUNSTER FINAL:
Best of luck to the Limerick under 21 hurlers who play Clare in the Munster final in Cusack Park in Ennis this Thursday night at 7.30pm. Commiserations to the minor hurlers who lost out to Galway in the All-Ireland quarter final by 1 – 14 to 0 – 13.

UNDER 14 HURLERS:
We played Adare in u14 Hurling challenge match. Both clubs were missing players and while we had a full team, Adare were short players so we played 13 a side. This was a good opportunity for us to give valuable game time to all available squad members. We were well in control of this game from an early stage and were comfortable winners.
Team: Rory Hannon, Fergal Egan, Padraig Byrnes, Dara Nash, Cian Enright, John Bourke, Colin Haigney, Cathal O’Neill, Brendan Power, Colin Coughlan, Sam Riordan, Ciaran Kennedy, Niall Khan, Paul Mullins, John O’Donnell, Rian O’Byrne.
Since then our under 14 hurlers had a great win over Na Piarsaigh and the footballers beat Bruff.

LAST WEEK’S RESULTS:
County Under 16 Football Championship Division 2A: Kilpeacon 0-10 Askeaton Ballysteen 1-5.
County Under 14 Football Championship Division 2A: Kilpeacon 7-10 Kildimo-Pallaskenry 1-4

CÚL CAMP:
A big thank you to all who volunteered during our summer camp this year ensuring it was a great success. We hope that all the children enjoyed their week learning the skills of Gaelic games.

MINORS:
Our minor footballers travelled to Ballingarry last Friday to play a second round championship against the hosts who failed to turn up due to registration issues. The footballers now play Athea on Tuesday 13th July in Crecora @ 7.30pm.
Our hurlers played a tough challenge match against Dromin-Athlacca last Sunday and are out against Killeedy this Friday 17th July in Crecora. All support welcome.

UNDER 16 FOOTBALLERS:
Our under 16 team had a great win last week over Askeaton-Ballysteen by 0-10 to 1-5 in Division 2A of the county championship.
Their next match is next Monday 20th July when they make the long trip to Athea.

UNDER 14 FOOTBALLERS:
Following our fantastic weekend in Wexford last week it was back to championship action for our U14 football squad on Wednesday evening with a trip over to Kildimo to play Kildimo Pallaskenry . On a great playing surface we played the first half with the aid of a slight breeze and while we had some good possession we found it hard against a solid Kildimo defence to convert our chances however we soon settled into the game and some fine points from Richard and Colin helped to settle us.
It was then time for our forwards to come into the game and some great passing and ball distribution helped Killian to rattle the net a couple of times leaving us with a nice but by no means comfortable lead at half time knowing that we would be playing into a strong breeze in the second half .
Kildimo Pallas had some strong footballers who knew how to run at our defence and threatened us early on in the second half but credit to our full back line who read the threat very well and inevitably cut out their final pass on a good few occasions to launch us into attack mode again.
Goals from Colin C and Fergal with some lovely points from Colin H , Cathal and Patrick helped us push on in the second half and win on a final scoreline of 7 – 10 to 1 – 4 .
Our next football match is on Friday 17th July, away to Bruff.
Panel on the night , Sam Riordan, Padraig Byrnes, John Bourke, Darragh O Keeffe, Philip O Toole, Patrick Dolphin, Cathal O Neill, Colin Haigney, James Conheady, Richard Murphy, Cian Enright, Killian Scanlon, Colin Coughlan, Fergal Egan, Rian O Byrne.
Next up for them is a hurling match against Na Piarsaigh where our lads are hoping to keep up their good record in Division 1. While on Friday they play Bruff in football.

JUNIOR A HURLERS:
After their disappointing 3-18 to 0-11 defeat to St. Patricks in round 1, our Junior A hurlers are out again this Saturday against Old Christians in Mungret.
Your support would be greatly appreciated.

COMISERATIONS:
Comiserations to the Limerick Senior, Intermediate and Minor hurling teams who were all beaten during the last week in disappointing circumstances. The Intermediates were unlucky to be pipped by Cork in the Munster Final in Páirc Uí Rinn last Thursday on a scoreline of 0-20 to 0-18 while the Seniors exited the championship to Dublin on Saturday by 1-17 to 1-16.
Our Minors were also beaten in Sunday’s Munster final by Tipperary 0-20 to 0-17. The good news is however that they are still in the All-Ireland series and now will play Galway on the weekend of July 25th/26th. Date, time and venue TBC. Meanwhile our under 21s will play Tipperary this Thursday 16th July in the Gaelic Grounds with a 7.30pm start.
