Club Notes 23rd May

LAST WEEK’S RESULTS:
County Under 14 Football League Division 1: Kilpeacon 3-7 Claughaun 0-3
City Junior A Hurling League Semi Final: Ballybrown 1-17 Crecora-Manister 1-12

JUNIOR HURLERS:
Our Junior Hurlers met Ballybrown in the City Junior Hurling League semi final last Sunday 22nd May and unfortunately came out the wrong side of a 1-17 to 1-12 defeat to s stronger Ballybrown team. Team: Stephen Keating; Eoin O’Callaghan, Darach Skelly, Tim Moloney; Evan Moloney, Shane Moloney, Michael Bateman; Cormac Flanagan, Willie Donovan; John Buckley, Mike McCormack, Rob Hourigan; Edwin Wixted, Niall Moloney, Liam Quirke. Subs: Conor Burke, Pa Walsh, Páraic O’Neill, Cian Leahy, Micheál O’Neill, Fergal Carey, Garbhan Sheehan.

JUNIOR FOOTBALLERS:
Our Junior A Fotballers have a busy week of action ahead with two city league games against Mungret on Monday 23rd May and Kildimo-Pallas on Wednesday 25th May. Details for these fixtures are listed below.

UNDER 14s:
The under 14 footballers hope to make it four wins out of four in division 1 of the championship. They play Newcastlewest in Crecora this Wednesday at 7.15pm. Meanwhile the hurlers open their campaign this Monday against old rivals Mungret in Crecora at 7pm.

FAMILY TABLE QUIZ THIS SUNDAY:
The GAA club will host a family table quiz Sunday 29th May at 6pm in Crecora NS. A table of four is €20. There will be a raffle and some great spot prizes on the night as well as prizes for the best adult/family team, the best under 16 team and the best under 14 team. Come along for a great night’s fun and to meet your neighbours and other parents.

Table Quiz Sun 29th May 6pm Crecora NS

Mark the date in your diary, brush up on your general knowledge and pick your team!

This event will be a great opportunity for you to get out as a family and meet you neighbours and get to meet the parents of your child’s team mates, especially for new members to the club and parents of young players which have just started with our club.

Donations of spot prizes are most welcome – bring them to the quiz on the night.
Some child appropriate suggestions for spot prizes are: sweets, toys, crafts, vouchers for cinema or google store

This event will raise much needed funds which will go towards the development of our underage players.
