Every Step Counts – 4,000km Target Exceeded

The Every Step Counts initiative which is a partnership between Operation Transformation, the GAA and Get Ireland Walking has been running since 11th January and will end on 15th February 2023.

We have had walkers at our walking track over the past weeks, with many joining our walking group every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm.

We have exceeded our 4,000 km target with total kilometer count on Sunday 12th February standing at 9,710km.
We’ll see you at the pitch again at 7.30pm this Tuesday to add some more kilometers before this initiative closes.

See below snapshots from the MyLife Apps showing our position in Munster and check out the serious kilometers clocked up by those in our Club Leader board.

Special Award to John Browne
The opportunity was taken to present an award to John Browne as a token of appreciation from the Crecora Manister GAA Club.

The occasion was taken to recognise the years of commitment John has given to the Club in a variety of roles; coach, selector, committee member and his 25 years as Club Treasurer, to mention a few.

John diligently managed our Club’s finances through the years which included some very challenging times.

He ensured the day to day operational expenses were always prioritised while also supporting the many small and large development projects successfully undertaken over the years.

The growth and success of our Club is as a result of the tireless commitment and effort by John Browne and men like him…….there aren’t many men like John.

Thanks John for all your hard work and support over the years.

Don’t worry, John hasn’t gone anywhere, he’s still involved in the Club.
