Junior A Hurling
The Crecora / Manister Junior hurlers suffered a 4 point defeat in the City Semi Final against Na Piarsaigh last Saturday. We suffered the same fate as our Limerick senior hurlers in Croke Park when our first half performance was littered with mistakes, nerves and missed opportunities. For whatever reason our team never got going and our players never produced the hurling that had brought them victories against St Pats, Na Piarsaigh and Old Christians in the 3 previous games. We did however have another outstanding performance from Colm Carey at corner back and Ian Donoghue was excellent at corner forward. The team never gave up, tried and worked until the final whistle and showed great character in winning the 2nd half, but left themselves too much to do after a sluggish opening half. The panel is very young and if these players stay together and work as hard again next year, their day will come and they will get those City medals.

Team: S Keating, C Carey, N Moloney, J Burke, G Kelliher, C Kelly, P Walsh, S Moloney, M McCormack, C Keyes, E O’Shea, F Carey, I Donoghue, R Hourigan, S McDermott. Subs: C Burke, S Quinn, G Sheehan, B Relihan, L Carey. T Moloney, M O’Neill, P Sullivan, L Quirke, S Keyes.

We are short of football coaches all through the age groups especially at U6 , U8 and U10’s and could even do with another coach at u12’s so if you are interested or know of anyone who is interested , we will organise coaching courses etc to help you.
