Following 2 very close matches against Patrickswell and Ballybrown where this U13 team lost by a single score on both occasions , the players all stepped up a level for this home derby game against our near neighbours Mungret on Sunday 28th September.

Our Back lines from 1 to 7 were magnificent , first to every ball and sustained the late pressure put on by a gallant Mungret team towards the end.

Our midfield powerhouse of Cathal and James fought for everything and distributed the ball very well into the forwards who as a unit took some very nice scores.

Overall a very pleasing performance and while this group of players did not qualify for the U13 playoff’s they showed that they are more than capable of playing and competing at the top level in their age-group.

Our Squad was: Rory Hannon, Fergal Egan, Joshua Skehan Fitzgerald, Ciaran Kennedy, Brendan Power, Jack Dalton, Cathal O’Neill, Colin Coughlan, James Conheady, Richard Murphy, Cian Enright, Eoghan O’Connor, Rory Quirke, Colin Haigney, Ethan Hennessey, Darragh O’Keeffe, John Bourke, Sam Riordan, Chris Shanahan, Dara Nash, Stephan McPartlin,
