Match Reports Junior A Premier Hurling
Crecora Manister 1-13
Knockaderry 0-17
Our Hurlers played Knockaderry last Saturday in the 3rd Round of County Junior A Premier Hurling Championship which was played in Croagh. We played with the wind in the first half and thanks to points from Cathal O’Neill and Edwin Wixted we led at half time on a scoreline of 0-7 to 0-2. That lead was reduced to 2 early in the second half but a break by Chris Shanahan led to a cross field pass to James Conheady who stepped inside to score a goal. The scoring rate picked up in the second half and we found ourselves down by 2 in the closing stages. Points from Cathal and James levelled the game but there was still time to play and in the last passage of play we conceded a free which was converted. The final whistle blew shortly afterwards on a final scoreline of 0-17 to 1-13. We remain on 2 points in the table with 2 rounds remaining. Junior B Hurling
Crecora Manister 1-11
Mungret 0-17
The Crecora Manister Junior B team faced Mungret away in their second-round championship game on Monday evening. Despite having the wind in our favour at the start, Mungret were quicker off the mark, scoring early with a free and a 65. We struggled to capitalise on the wind, missing our first three scoring opportunities. However, Fergal Egan got us on the scoreboard after some excellent linking play from Ciaran Kennedy. Shortly after, we conceded a penalty, which Mungret converted into a point. As we worked to find our rhythm, our efforts paid off when a break by Ciaran Cusack set up Stephen McDermott to score a crucial goal. Mungret remained composed, responding with several more points. We had three more goal chances, but only one resulted in a point for Damien Kearney. A combination of missed opportunities and conceded frees left us trailing at halftime, with the scoreline reading Crecora 1-04, Mungret 0-11. In the second half, we increased our intensity, with scores coming from Steve McDermott, Brendan Power, Conor Burke, and Fergal Egan. We managed to close the gap to just two points. A quick free from Steve McDermott to Darach Skelly set up a goal opportunity, but we couldn’t convert. Mungret pushed on to secure the win, with the final score standing at Crecora 1-11, Mungret 0-17. We look forward to our next match against Kildimo Pallaskenry at home next Monday @6.30pm.
Team Building Day for U10-U12
Our U10 and U12 boys hit for Erins Own GAA Club in Kilkenny on Sunday. They played some quality hurling and had a trip to the Discovery Park and Supermacs on the way home. Great fun was had by all. Huge thank you to Margaret O’Mahoney for organising the day for the boys and also to the coaches for their continued support of these groups.

Our Golf Classic will take place at Limerick Golf Club on Friday September 6th kindly sponsored by Breeze Air Ltd. Tee Times are 9am – 12:30pm and 2:05pm to 4:15pm. For more details please contact Noel Murphy or Tom O’Keeffe. There are still some slots available for the morning session.
