Well attended AGM

We had a well attended AGM on Tuesday 11th December in Manister Community Centre.

Our Chairman John McCarthy welcomed all and stated that the work the coaches do training and mentoring our teams throughout the year is critical to the success of the club. He added that the work done by the Club Committee’s, Club Officials and Club Executive throughout the year ensures we keep functioning as a Club each year and into the future.

Reports were delivered from Bórd na nÓg Sectary Ger O’Riordan, Club Secretary Pat Quirke, Club Treasurer John Browne and Club Chairman John McCarthy.

Our Club Executives vacated their positions and Life President Gerry Moloney took proposers and seconders for the Club Executive. Thankfully our top table were re-elected and accepted their positions again for another year.

Officiers were proposed and seconded, see the table below for the list of officers elected for the 2019 season. It was great to see most of the 2018 Club Officers retaining their positions for another year.

John McCarthy opened up the meeting to the floor and there was great engagement and discussion from all in attendance.

Thanks for supporting our Table Quiz

We have a very good turnout at our Annual Table Quiz and Raffle in Yellowtown on Friday 7th December.
It was a great night with all enjoying the quiz and the opportunity to catch up with friends and neighbours.
It was very easy going with everyone out to have a bit of craic and no one getting too worried about the score.

For a finish there were very few point separating the top 3 teams.

Well done to Kevin Hayes for setting the questions and being the MC for the night. Thanks too to Noel Murphy and Paul Foster for helping out with the raffle, correcting the answers and keeping the score.
Thanks to all who supported this event by sponsoring Sport Prizes & Quiz Teams and for making this a very successful social and fundraising event.
