Club Notes 8th April

County Minors
Crecora Manister GAA are proud to congratulate both Patrick Dolphin (Minor Football) and Cathal O’Neill (Minor Hurling) on being named as vice captains of the County Teams. Both players have come up through the underage academies since U13s and have been ever present on the county scene since then. Patrick and Cathal are also dedicated club men and can both be seen most evenings at the field in Crecora practicing frees and sidelines with their club team-mates.
All in Crecora Manister GAA and the Crecora Manister community wish both lads the best of luck for the season ahead with Patrick first up in the Gaelic Grounds on Wednesday 10th April against Clare in the Munster Minor Football championship.

Under 14 Football
Our U14 Football team, playing as Kilpeacon competed recently in the new Feile Football blitz format. We were grouped with Killacolla Gaels, Ahane and Ballybrown. While the match results did not go our way, the players fought hard in every game and most importantly, never gave up which is the ethos of Feile, to compete and enjoy.
We wish the best of luck to the teams who made it through to the finals and look forward now to the U14 Feile hurling in a couple of weeks time.

Junior Football
Our Junior Footballers had a fine 0 – 16 to 0 – 5 win over Ballybrown in the first round of the City league last Friday night.
They are down to play Monaleen Thursday night 11th April in round 2 at 7pm in Crecora.

Junior Hurling
Our Junior Hurlers are down to play Monaleen in the City Hurling League this Saturday at 6pm in Monaleen. Our game last weekend was postponed due to opposition not being able to field a team. Under new management and with some new additions to the panel from last year’s Minors we are looking at building throughout the league campaign culminating later in the year with a good tilt at the championship.
We hope you will come out and support our young team in the season ahead.

Minor Football
Our Minor Football team, Kilpeacon play their first match this Tuesday evening 2nd April with a 6:45pm throw in. We play near neighbours South Liberties with the game being played in Fedamore. All support welcome for this game.

Club Limerick Draw 2019
We are currently calling to homes throughout the parish selling tickets for the 2019 Club Limerick Draw. This is a great fundraiser not only for the county but also for our local club and your continued support is greatly appreciated.
