We had a well attended and well faciliated AGM on Wednesday 9th December considering it was conducted on line.

Our Chairman Pat Byrnes welcomed all and thanked all for their commitment to the club during this challenging year. Some great maintenance work was completed at the pitch and the training through the year at both codes and all age groups was very much appreciated. He thanked the  Club Committee’s, Club Officials and Club Executive for their work throughout the year to ensure our club continues to function and improve.

Reports were delivered from Bórd na nÓg Secretary Tom O’Keeffe, Club Secretary Pat Quirke, Club Treasurer John Browne and Club Chairman Pat Byrnes.

Our Club Executives vacated their positions and Life President Gerry Moloney took proposers and seconders for the Club Executive. Our top table were re-elected and accepted their positions again for another year.

Club Officers were proposed and seconded. Click here to view the list of 2020 Club Officers. It was great to see most of the 2019 Club Officers retaining their positions for another year.

Pat Byrnes opened up the meeting to the floor and there was good engagement with attendees acknowledging the great work done through the year with the highlight being our Junior Footballers winning the County Championship and our joint Facility Development Plan being launched.

Club Facility Development Plan
We await a decision from West Limerick Resources Leader Group on grant funding for the first item of our plan, the Community Walking Track.
We hope to receive the decision before Christmas.
If approved we will need local own funding of 25% for the project, ie €15,000 approximately.

Contributions are already starting to come in to the stand alone fund account being operated jointly between the GAA Club and Camogie Clubs, and we thank those early donors for their support.

Phase 2 of our Facility Developments will see an application for Sports Capital Funding hopefully in early 2021 to progress pitch improvements and developments, and own funding of approximately €45,000 will be needed to complete all items, in conjunction with grant aid.

Please help us by contributing now to our fundraising efforts either by lodging directly to our:
Development Fund Account with Bank of Ireland:
IBAN: IE26 BOFI 9044 9947 4969 71,

or you can select from a number of Donation Options and pay online through Klubfunder at: https://www.klubfunder.com/Clubs/Crecora_Manister_Development_Fund

If we can raise funds from our Club members, members of the local community and local businesses we can complete projects in a quicker time frame which will benefit all our players in the GAA and Camogie clubs and the members of our local community.
