Crecora Manister’s under 15 Hurlers got their Féile na nGael campaign off to a good start with a fine win against na Piarsaigh at a dry but windswept Croagh on Saturday morning.
Next up at the same venue were Askeaton/ Ballysteen/ Kilcornan where after another good performance Crecora Manister came out on top on a scoreline of 2 – 6 to 0 – 2.
Our final game was against Croagh/ Kilfinny/ Rathkeale. These opponents had put up huge scores in there previous matches and at half time in this match Crecora Manister were up a goal on a scoreline of 1 – 5 to 0 – 5.
The second half was a huge battle with Crecora Manister playing into a strong wind. However after some sustained pressure for the last 7 minutes Crecora Manister prevailed on a scoreline of 1 -7 to 0 – 9.
Great credit is due to all the players who stepped up at various times to see us through to a semi final on Monday in Kilbreedy. We ask as many as possible to come along to support our boys in the semi-final.
Thanks to all the ladies who provided the well earned refreshments

National League Medal
Congratulations to Cathal O’Neill on winning a National League Medal yesterday.
He is a brilliant role model for all our players.
It was only a few years ago Cathal was competing in the Féile competition himself.
