Our Junior hurlers played Ballybricken / Bohermore in the 1st round of the ACHL on Tuesday April 8th. As this was both teams first competitive game of the year it began slow and the conditions made it difficult. We hurled well in patches and when we did we looked impressive. More matches will bring on the sharpness and consistency of performance that we need to compete. We won on a score line of 5 -8 to 1 – 6 and this win gives us a good start to the county league. We played Claughan Intermediate hurlers on Friday April 11th in a challenge game. The end result of 1 – 13 to 0- 15 saw us loose by a point, but the performance was very encouraging and we look forward to our City league campaign now.
