Crecora Manister GAA and Crecora Camogie Clubs would like to invite its members, along with all in the community, to participate in the GAA Healthy Clubs-Every Step Counts Challenge.
This challenge is being organised by the GAA, Irish Life and Operation Transformation, and commences on Wednesday 12th January 2022 and continues for five weeks until Wednesday 16th February 2022.
If a club logs 4,000km between all its members during the five-week period, it will be entered into a draw for O’Neills vouchers to the value of €5,000 per province, not to mention the associated health benefits for those who participate!
Crecora Manister GAA Club has registered for this challenge and our Community Walking Track is available to all for the challenge and is floodlit from dusk until 9pm every day. It takes just 4 steps to get involved:
1. Download the “MyLife by Irish Life” app to your phone from the App Store or Google Playstore;
2. Register your details;
3. Join the Crecora Manister GAA Group: Go to Challenges/Munster GAA/Crecora Manister GAA club;
4. Bring your phone with you on your walks to record your steps;
To help with the challenge, the club has designated Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7pm-9pm at the Community Walking Track for group walking times, but please note that all walking by registered persons over the 5 weeks will be counted towards the club challenge.
Happy New Year to our club members and all in the community, and we hope this challenge will help to motivate you to get 2022 off to a healthy start!
