LAST WEEK’S RESULTS:
South Under 21 B Championship Final: Tory Gaels 2-11 Knockainey 0-8.
UNDER 21s:
Congratulations to our under 21 hurlers, Tory Gaels, who won the South B Championship with a 2-11 to 0-8 win over Knockainey on St. Patrick’s Day in Kilmallock. Our lads were slow to start and Knockainey developed a 0-3 to 0-0 lead after 15 minutes. However, a well-taken goal and point by Killian Rea brought us right back into the game, and we drew level at half time 1-3 to 0-6.
The second half was a different story with our boys totally dominating throughout. Michael Bateman broke through the centre for a great goal and fine points also came from the hurleys of Liam Quirke, Mark Reidy, Ryan O’Shea, Shane O’Connell and Edwin Wixted, who was returning from injury.
Our backs withstood several late assaults on our goal by Knockainey to run out 9 point winners. The cup was presented to our captain Mark Reidy and Tim Moloney was awarded Man of the Match.
Tory Gaels now await the winners of the East final replay between Liberties and Pallasgreen in the county semi final.

UNDER 14 FÉILE:
Our under 14 hurlers play the first round of the Féile against our neighbours Patrickswell on Monday 21st March in Crecora at 5.30pm. All support welcome.
TEAM LIMERICK CLEAN UP:
We had a huge turnout of volunteers last year for the Team Limerick Clean up and after a great day of good team work the roadsides along the Crecora and Manister area were spotless. Due to the huge success of the TLC initiative in 2015 the event is being sponsored again in 2016 by the JP McManus Benevolent Fund.
A group has been registered for the Crecora Manister area and we’ll meet up at Crecora Community Centre on Good Friday 25th March between 9am and 9.30am to distribute bags and gloves to the volunteers.
If you are interested in taking part please contact Paul Foster on 0868500303 or by email to tlc@crecoramanistergaa.com to inform us of the stretch of road you will be cleaning and the number of volunteers that will be with you. This will give us an idea of the number of bags and gloves to get.
We are asking people to bring their own gear where possible as there isn’t as much gear being given out this year as last year, on the understanding that people will have the gear from last year.
LIMERICK UNDER 21 FOOTBALL:
Well done to our club man Cormac Flanagan who made an appearance for Limerick against Kerry in the Munster Under 21 Football Semi Final in Tralee last Wednesday.
A spirited Limerick team were unlucky to be beaten by just 3 points, 1-14 to 2-8.
LIMERICK & NA PIARSAIGH:
Unfortunately Limerick were soundly beaten by Clare in Cusack Park last Sunday in the final round of the Allianz Hurling League Divison 1B. They remain in 1B for another season at least.
Attention now turns to the clash with Dublin in the League Quarter Final in two weeks time. Time, date and venue for same is still to be confirmed.
There was better news for Na Piarsaigh last Thursday when they were crowned All-Ireland club champions, the first Limerick club to do so, beating Antrim’s Cushendall by 2-25 to 2-14.
UPCOMING FIXTURES:
Monday 21st March: Under 14 Féile na nGael A Preliminary Round: Kilpeacon v Patrickswell in Crecora ‘ 5.30pm.
