JUNIORS
Our junior hurlers continued their good run of late with a comfortable fourteen point win over Monaleen in the second round of the City league. With that win, they have now qualified for the semi finals of the City league after getting a walkover from Old Christians.
Our footballers meanwhile are also going quite well as they recorded a convincing win of their own against Monaleen last Thursday. Their next league game is on the 12th of May against Kildimo-Pallas in Pallaskenry.

MINORS
Our minor footballers got their campaign off to an unlucky start when they were beaten by Croom by three points last Friday night. Our lads started well and went into a 0-3 to 0-0 lead after 10 minutes. However, Croom had the upper hand for the remainder of the half and the sides went in level at half time 0-5 a piece. Our neighbours raced out of the blocks in the first 15 minutes of the second half, scoring 1-4 without reply to lead 1-9 to 0-5. Crecora came back though and we hit 1-4 of our own including a fine goal by Robert Greer and some nice points from Michael Bateman, Shane O’Connell and a monstrous 45 from Mark Shanahan to leave the scores level 1-9 all with about five minutes to go.
Croom were then awarded three soft frees in quick succession and soon after the final whistle blew to leave Croom with a 1-12 to 1-9 victory.
Team: Tomás Connolly; Páraic O’Neill, Michael Fitzgerald; Cian Leahy, Mark Shanahan, Donnacha Connolly; Karl Moloney, Michael Bateman; Peter Boohan, Shane O’Connell, Robert Greer; Conor Kirby, Ciarán Humphreys; Shane O’Connor.
The minors attention now turns to hurling and they face Croom once more this Bank Holiday Monday in Crecora @ 7.30pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated. They are then out again on Friday night as they travel to Ballylanders to play football. Throw in is at 7pm.

UNDER 16s
Our under 16s were well beaten by Kilmallock last Monday in the first round of division 2B of the Under 16 Championship. They now have a long break until the 4th July, after the Junior cert exams. The first Under 16 football match isn’t until the 27th June against Oola.

UNDER 15s
Our under 15s played their last game of this competition last Wednesday against Newcastle West. Attention now turns to the under 14 championship.

UNDER 14s
Our under 14s begin their football campaign this Wednesday 4th May against Mungret in Crecora at 7.15pm. They’re out in the football again the week after with an away game versus Askeaton-Ballysteen-Kilcornan. The hurlers’ first match is against Mungret on Monday 23rd May. Please support.
