Crecora Manister GAA club, Crecora Camogie club and Crecora Community Walking Group would like to invite all the members of our community to walk together at the GAA field for “Ireland Lights Up 2023” commencing on January 11th.

This initiative is a partnership between Operation Transformation, the GAA and Get Ireland Walking and takes place on our purpose built walking track.

This track is available for all our community to use (not just club members) and is accessible and floodlit daily from morning until 9pm.

The MyLife health app from Irish Life has teamed up with the GAA to create a challenge for participating clubs.

If we as a community can collectively walk 4000km over a five week period, starting January 11th, the GAA club will be included in a prize draw.

In order to participate please download the MyLife app from the App store or Google Play.

When you register on the app you can then choose the walking challenge.

Please ensure you choose Crecora Manister Gaa club so your efforts can be counted.

To help with the motivation we have designated Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.30pm as our group walking times.

There will be tea/coffee in the portacabin on these evenings.

Please note all walking you do over the 5 weeks will go towards the goal.

We hope that this challenge will help you get 2023 off to a healthy start.
