The Kilpeacon U13 Hurling team played their first match against Ballybrown on Monday 15th September.
We had an excellent turnout with 21 players present on the night and from a coaches perspective we could not have asked more from all the boys, they were excellent on the night giving their all against a highly rated Ballybrown side.

We did all the hurling in the first half but only lead by 2 points at half time, 1 – 8 to 2 – 3 which did not reflect our dominance.
We had great performances from all boys especially James Conheady in midfield and great goals by Colin Haigney and Cathal O’Neill.

Cian Enright also won a lot of ball and scored a good point. Sam Riordan registered a good point from play as well. Joshua Skehan Fitzgerald fought for every ball and Colin Coughlan cleared a lot of ball from center back with Richard Murphy leading the line well at center forward.

It was a really competitive game against a top side, and we were unlucky to come out losing by a point, 4-7 to 3-9
